#SuccessStory – Emil

Between 2012 and 2013, Emil trained at our Hillsboro campus to become a helicopter pilot. After successfully completing his training in 2013, he was employed as a flight instructor with us at Hillsboro. For over two years, Emil was able to enhance his flying skills as an instructor and accumulate many flight hours.

After his visa expired, Emil returned to Europe, where he first obtained his EASA conversion in Switzerland, and subsequently completed his EASA instrument training in turbine helicopters in England. After spending about a year with ADAC, where Emil assisted with various projects and only flew occasionally, he switched to DRF, where he is now working as a full-time pilot. Emil has flown with BK117 and EC135 helicopters and enjoys his job where he saves lives daily.
